With a band name like Micky & the Motorcars, it’s no surprise these guys make their living on the road. Micky and Gary Braun have family roots in Idaho; in fact, their brothers are Willy and Cody Braun of the band Reckless Kelly. Meanwhile, Dustin Schaefer (lead guitar), Bobby Paugh (drums) and Joe Fladger (bass) round out the Motorcars lineup. These days they’re based in Austin, yet they’re often hitting the highways to promote their newest project, Hearts From Above. Late last fall, we pulled them over for a CMT Concrete Country shoot in downtown Nashville.

In the coming days, they’ve got shows booked in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas, before heading back to Texas for a slew of March dates. Take a look at Micky & the Motorcars’ live performances of “Hearts From Above,” “Long Road to Nowhere” and longtime crowd favorite, “Naïve.”
