It’s been 25 years since Dolly Parton brought down the house with “He’s Alive” on the CMA Awards. To this day, it remains one of the most iconic moments in the show’s history. You can almost feel the whole Opry house holding its breath, only to find relief in a dazzling finale. Wouldn’t you love to see Dolly close out the show again like she used to?

This mesmerizing performance still leaves me speechless, so it’s probably better to let the song (written by Don Francisco) speak for itself.

Take a look at Parton’s stunning rendition of “He’s Alive.” As her mother would say, she hopes you get a blessing out of it.
