Amos Lee Brought a Cool “Stranger” to Hangout Festival

Here’s a video to get you in a summer state of mind — a sunny live performance of Amos Lee’s “Stranger” from the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., last weekend. Although Lee is one of Americana’s finest balladeers, he can definitely get funky with the best of ‘em.

By the way, after you get to know this “Stranger,” stick around. There’s a superbly soulful rendition of “The Man Who Wants You” immediately following. Both songs come from Lee’s satisfying album, Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song.
