Dailey & Vincent Sharpen “Steel Drivin’ Man”

When Dailey & Vincent came to CMT to film a live version of their No. 1 bluegrass single, “Steel Drivin’ Man,” they left two general impressions. First: That’s a lot of musicians. Second: Wow, they nailed it. These friendly guys are consummate professionals, and they’re nominated in the categories of entertainer and vocal group at this year’s IBMA Awards. After nearly a decade in Nashville, the annual event will take place Thursday night (Sept. 26) in Raleigh, N.C.

“Steel Drivin’ Man” tells the story of a fellow named Billy who won’t slow down for anything, including the hint of death creeping just behind him. Written by Jamie Dailey, a nominee in the IBMA’s male vocalist category, the fast-paced track comes from the band’s newest album, Brothers of the Highway.

Don’t miss Dailey & Vincent’s dazzling performance of “Steel Drivin’ Man” on CMT Edge.
