Della Mae String Together an “Empire”

Della Mae sounds like a classic Southern name, yet it’s actually the moniker of an all-female band that got its start in Boston. These days, the five women live in Nashville and recorded their upcoming album, This World Oft Can Be, at Cash Cabin Studio, Johnny Cash‘s former recording base in Hendersonville, Tenn. Fueled by a raging fiddle, “Empire” tells the story of those hard-working men and women who planted the seeds for the future. And while the women have an eye on the musical past, their roots are also planted in styles stretching from blues to bluegrass. Enjoy Della Mae’s “Empire.”
