Ian McFeron Dives Into “The First Cold Day of Fall”

After six studio albums, Seattle-based folk rocker Ian McFeron still had a sense of urgency when it came time to record his seventh project, Time Will Take You. “We didn’t want there to be room for too much deliberation,” says McFeron. “So we booked three days in the studio and recorded the whole thing live.” You can feel that impulsive energy on “The First Cold Day of Fall,” which gradually picks up momentum from a plodding piano melody and McFeron’s shy vocal. He’s looking back semi-fondly on a failed relationship, kind of like you would after diving into a freezing cold lake and coming out dry and warm. See if you can relate to McFeron’s new video, “The First Cold Day of Fall.”
