Neko Case Kills It on Ghost Brothers Soundtrack

Mixing musical theater, ghost stories and Americana tunes, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County is a play that sounds ultra-interesting to me. Its songs were written by John Mellencamp, the story comes from best-selling author Stephen King and producer T Bone Burnett handles music direction. Matthew McConaughey and Meg Ryan star, and a long list of superb artists contribute to the soundtrack, including Rosanne Cash, Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Ryan Bingham and Kris Kristofferson. Here, we get a taste of what the music will be like as Neko Case becomes a cold-blooded heartbreaker for “That’s Who I Am.” She contrasts that bad-girl attitude with a sweet, come-hither voice that’s hard to resist, especially with the jaunty Broadway-style piano underneath. Get into a theatrical mood with Neko Case on “That’s Who I Am.”
