Radney Foster Fights Off Feeling “Louisiana Blue”

Like many of the enduring songs on Radney Foster’s original Del Rio, TX 1959, “Louisiana Blue” is a simple tune about heartbreak and hopelessness. Foster reprised the track for his new Unplugged & Lonesome: Del Rio, Texas Revisited, and even filmed a peaceful video for it just south of New Orleans. But 28 days later, Hurricane Isaac struck, devastating the region.

Now Foster is helping rebuild spirits and homes alike by donating the proceeds from his “Louisiana Blue” video to the American Red Cross.

“I send this out as a prayer to all of our friends and family in Louisiana who’ve recently been hit by Hurricane Isaac,” says Foster. “Our hearts are with you.”

You can purchase the video on iTunes to help out Foster’s cause. For now, watch the video and be on the lookout for his Unplugged collaborators — Martie McGuire of the Dixie Chicks and Jon Randall Stewart.
